Due to the complexity of the wiring of dual volume and tone control guitars, it is not possible to bypass 2 volume controls, 2 tone controls and 2 capacitors with just one DPDT switch so some compromise had to be made. One disadvantage is that, unlike the other 2 circuits, this "Solo Switch" can only activate the bridge pickup.. The diagrams on the Seymour Duncan site and Stew Mac site are different. The Stew Mac one has a cap going between the vol and tone pots, while the Duncan one has a cap between the middle lug of the tone pot back to the housing of the tone. But if I were to wire the Volume and Tone pots like the 2 Hum, 2 Vol, 2 Tone, 3-Way Switch schematic (like an LP or SG), with the outside Volume terminal connected via capacitor to the middle Tone terminal, that would give me modern wiring, correct?.
