Does the wiring I show make sense? It almost does to me except the tone control interacts with the middle and bridge pickups in an odd way. The B-half of the switch is the normal pickup selector function, but the A-half of the switch uses the tone control to add in coil #2 of the middle pup as the tone control is turned away from 10.. The 4-Wire Leads on our Humbucker Pickups allow for the Coils to be "Tapped". This means that you can shut one of the coils off, allowing the pickup to function as Single Coil Pickup. The best way to do this is with a standard DPDT Switch, or a Push/Pull Pot (which is a DPDT Switch attached to a control pot).. Feb 20, 2013 · I swapped them cause I was changing all the hardware to gold and the GFS's had gold covers. They also were 4 conductor and I wanted to wire in a coil split. I didn't like the GFS pups tone and put the original G&B's back in (I also put gold covers on them and rewired them so they could be split).. If you order something from GuitarElectronics.com, you will regret soon. I received my orders except one pickup after 2 weeks. According to their email, they were not even out of stock. The last one pickup had not shipped after one month, so I cancelled that. This was a horrible experience..
