Zing Ear Ze 208s Wiring Diagram Color Code - The description was a little confusing, but this was exactly what my ceiling fan needed. The black wire connects to the power, the red connects to the light, and the blue connects to the fan speed controller.. This inexpensive switch worked great. Fortunately the wires from my old switch were "tinned" with solder as I would expect. The wire lead ends need to be tinned to make the ends rigid enough to push through the inside one-way clips of the new switch..
